Every layer of our operation is designed around "never trust, always verify." From personnel vetting to live deployment, no assumption goes unchecked.
Multi-layered screening: criminal records, reference verification, psychometric profiling, and continuous behavioural monitoring. No operative deployed without full clearance.
All engagement details compartmentalised on need-to-know basis. Encrypted communications, rotating shifts, and counter-surveillance sweeps standard on every deployment.
Full POPIA compliance. Client information encrypted at rest and in transit. Access logs audited. No third-party sharing without explicit written consent.
Pre-established escalation pathways with SAPS liaison. Medical emergency protocols. Extraction contingencies. Every scenario war-gamed before deployment.
KM VIP Protection is a PSIRA-registered security service provider (Registration 5153238) headquartered in Midrand, Gauteng, and led by directors Kwazi Mbuyazi and Mnotho Mathaba. Our leadership carries 25 years of combined operational security experience — built on the ground, on live sites, long before this company carried their name.
That matters, because it defines who we put on your site. We do not train raw entrants at a client's expense. Our officers are experienced, PSIRA-graded personnel who have already stood post on mines, shopping centres, residential estates, corporate campuses and mass-attendance events for established providers across South Africa — and who chose to work to a higher standard than the one they left.
Every operative is trained in threat assessment, counter-surveillance, emergency medical response and conflict de-escalation, and every deployment runs on our Zero-Trust Protocol so that no single point of failure exists. We serve high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, estates, industrial sites, and any client for whom a security failure is not a recoverable event.
In South African security, the only credential that legally matters is PSIRA registration — and the only registration worth anything is one you can check yourself. Here is ours, in full, with instructions to verify it before you speak to us.
Issued to KM VIP Protection (Pty) Ltd by the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority under the Private Security Industry Regulation Act 56 of 2001.
Check us on the public PSIRA registerRun these on us. Then run them on everyone else quoting you.
Go to psira.co.za and search registration number 5153238. Confirm the status reads active — not lapsed, not suspended, not "pending".
Ask us for the full document set before you sign anything. It goes out the same day, unedited, whether or not you end up appointing us.
Every officer we deploy is PSIRA-registered in their own name and is legally required to produce their certificate on request. Ask for it unannounced. If any provider's officer cannot produce one, that provider is operating illegally on your property.
KM VIP Protection is deliberately structured the opposite way round to most new security firms. The company is new. The people running it and standing post for it are not. We recruit proven officers out of established providers rather than putting first-week trainees on a client's gate.
Career security professional. Runs deployment planning, officer selection and the standard every KM VIP post is held to. Personally signs off the team assigned to each contract.
Owns client relationships, regulatory compliance and after-action reporting. Your escalation path ends with a director, not a call-centre queue.
Years of combined operational security experience across close protection, manned guarding, industrial sites and mass-attendance events in South Africa.
Not "PSIRA compliant" as a company slogan — every single officer holds their own active registration and carries the certificate on shift.
Grade A and B officers lead sites, armed posts and close-protection details. Grade C officers cover static, access control and patrol. We grade up to the risk, never down to the budget.
Our officers arrive having already worked mines, malls, estates, corporate campuses and event deployments for established providers across the country. Your site is not where they learn the job.
Criminal record check, reference verification with previous employers, identity confirmation, and continuous conduct monitoring for as long as they wear our uniform.
We do not quote below the legislated wage. Underpaid officers sleep, walk off, or get bought — and it is always the client who pays for that, not the provider who undercut.
Posts are checked by roving supervisors and backed by a 24/7 operations centre. Complacency is a threat vector, so we design against it.
From personal protection to enterprise-scale security operations. Tailored, scalable, uncompromising.
Professionally trained, PSIRA-compliant guards for sites, estates, retail, and corporate premises. Supervised 24/7, never complacent.
CCTV design and installation, biometric access control, perimeter alarms, and remote monitoring with AI-enhanced threat detection.
ISPS-compliant port and vessel protection. Armed and unarmed teams, real-time vessel tracking, and harbour perimeter security.
Discreet CPOs for high-profile principals. Advance reconnaissance, counter-surveillance, secure motorcades, and crisis extraction.
Crowd management, venue access control, and on-call rapid response for sports events, concerts, corporate launches, and festivals.
Aerial patrol with thermal imaging for perimeter monitoring, incident response, and large-area site surveillance. Eyes that never blink.
From corporate towers in Sandton to farmlands in the North West — KM VIP Protection deploys across every industry and environment in South Africa.
Malls, retail parks, and high-street stores. Access control, loss prevention, and crowd management.
Mines, smelters, warehouses, and factories. Armed response, perimeter surveillance, and asset protection.
Farm attack prevention, perimeter patrols, and rapid response for agricultural properties across SA.
Gated estates, cluster homes, and private residences. 24/7 patrols, access management, and monitoring.
Office parks, retail centres, and development sites. Site security, access control, and CCTV.
Head offices, data centres, and corporate campuses. Guard services, executive protection, and risk audits.
ISPS-compliant vessel and port security. Armed teams, vessel tracking, and harbour perimeter control.
Hotels, conferencing, sports events, and festivals. Crowd management, VIP escort, and venue security.
From harbour perimeters to open-sea escort — our ISPS-trained teams secure vessels, ports, and critical marine infrastructure across Southern Africa.
Black state-grade BMW saloons and Mercedes-Benz V-Class V300d and V250d executive vans — driven by PSIRA-registered protection officers, not agency drivers. For executives landing in South Africa, delegations moving between venues, and principals who would rather their transport was already part of the security plan.
Most security companies make you sit through a sales call before they will name a number. Here are ours, up front, so you can size a budget before you speak to anyone. Final cost is confirmed in writing after a risk assessment.
Access control and door management for clubs, bars, restaurants and private functions.
Uniformed tactical presence for sites, retail and higher-risk static posts.
Discreet personal protection where an armed posture is not appropriate or permitted.
Our standard executive detail. Advance reconnaissance and route planning included.
Elevated-threat deployments. Long-arm certified with current competency.
Vehicle, fuel and a security-trained driver for movements inside the home province.
Cross-province escort and convoy work. Includes travel time and standby.
These are priced per site, per event or per installation rather than per officer-day — a static guarding post is a monthly contract, an installation is a once-off, and a shuttle programme depends on vehicles and rotation. Quoting them from a day rate would give you a number that is wrong in both directions. Send us the scope and you will have a written quote within 24 to 48 hours.
PSIRA grade and whether the post is armed, and with what.
Officer count, hours of cover, and relief rotation.
Single day, short deployment, or ongoing retainer.
Threat level, province, and travel or accommodation.
Vehicles, CCTV, comms, drone coverage.
We do not quote below the PSIRA sectoral determination.
KM VIP Protection is not VAT registered — no VAT is charged and none is added to your invoice. The rates above are indicative starting rates in South African Rand and are confirmed in writing after a risk assessment. A provider quoting materially below the sectoral wage determination is underpaying its officers — and that always becomes the client's problem before it becomes theirs.
Client identities are withheld by policy — discretion is part of what you are buying. Contactable references are provided on request, with the client's consent, during the proposal stage.
"Executive protection detail for an inbound CEO visit to Johannesburg — airport reception, secure transfer, and close cover across three days of meetings. Advance recon was done on every venue before the principal moved."
"Corporate launch event in Sandton. Five officers on accreditation, door screening and VIP escort from arrival through to close-down, with one minor incident managed without it reaching the guest floor."
"Residential estate raising its posture after a run of incidents. A twelve-man outer cordon was operational inside 48 hours covering every access point and patrol route, and the engagement converted to an ongoing contract."
KM VIP Protection meets every procurement compliance requirement for government, parastatal, and large corporate security tenders. Our documentation package is ready on request.
Every engagement follows a structured, repeatable process — consistency, accountability, zero room for error.
Initial consultation: environment analysis, threat profiling, scope definition. Preliminary risk evaluation conducted before any deployment planning begins.

Every engagement is a case study in precision. Here is a selection of our active deployments and training programmes across Gauteng.

Sustained engagement covering a premium dining venue. Teams manage guest screening, incident prevention, and on-call rapid response throughout service hours.
Ongoing marksmanship and tactical firearms programme conducted at a certified range. All operatives maintain active competency certifications before any armed deployment.
Operatives conduct ground-level tactical movement exercises simulating real-world threat scenarios. Zero-Trust Protocol demands every officer is combat-ready before deployment.
Deployed a multi-officer team to provide total perimeter security for a high-value residential estate during an elevated threat period. Operatives covered all access points and patrol routes.
Full armed response team deployed on a high-risk route security operation. Officers equipped with long-arms, tactical comms, and pre-cleared SAPS liaison for maximum operational authority.

Yes. We are registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority under PSIRA Registration Number 5153238. Verify it yourself on the public register at psira.co.za before you speak to us. Every officer we deploy is also individually PSIRA-registered and carries their certificate on shift.
Fair question, and we would rather answer it than dodge it. The registration is recent; the people are not. Leadership carries 25 years of combined operational security experience, and we deliberately recruit officers who have already served on mines, shopping centres, estates, corporate campuses and event deployments for established providers across South Africa. You are not paying for someone to learn on your property. What a newer company gives you that a large incumbent often cannot: a director answers your escalation, and your contract is not one of four thousand.
Per officer, per 24-hour day: R1 200 venue and door security, R2 500 tactical officer, R3 000 unarmed close protection officer, R3 500 armed with handgun, R4 000 armed with rifle. Escort vehicles are R3 000 within province and R5 000 out of province per day. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Manned guarding, event security, electronic security and executive travel are priced per site, per event or per installation rather than per officer-day, so those are quoted in writing within 24–48 hours of receiving a scope. Full schedule on our pricing section.
Yes — regularly. We handle inbound executives, conference delegations and incentive groups end to end: meet-and-greet inside the terminal at OR Tambo, Lanseria, Cape Town International or King Shaka, secure transfer to your hotel, movement between venues, and departure. Close protection and executive travel can be booked as one itinerary, and the full movement plan is confirmed with you before you fly.
Yes. We run scoping and booking-confirmation calls over Google Meet. It suits clients in other time zones who quite reasonably want to see who they are dealing with before committing to a security provider in another country. Request a video consultation and we will send an invitation for a time that fits your time zone.
Black state-grade BMW saloons and Mercedes-Benz V-Class V300d and V250d executive vans. Every vehicle is driven by a PSIRA-registered protection officer trained in defensive and evasive driving, route planning and counter-surveillance — not an agency driver. That is the difference between a car service and protected transport.
Five things: officer grade and whether the post is armed, the number of officers and the shift pattern, contract length, the site's risk profile and location, and any equipment such as CCTV, vehicles or drone coverage. We quote against a written scope after a risk assessment so you can compare providers like for like. We do not quote below the PSIRA sectoral wage determination — a provider who does is underpaying officers, and underpaid officers are exactly how guarding contracts fail.
A member of the operations team responds within one business hour during working hours, and within four hours after hours. First contact is a short scoping call — no obligation, no hard sell. Where the site warrants it we run a risk assessment, then issue a written proposal and SLA within 24 to 48 hours.

24/7 ops centre. Pre-planned engagements get full advance recon. Urgent requirements: rapid-response teams mobilised within hours depending on scope and location.
